Terms of Service

By using MoneyCam, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Service

MoneyCam uses your phone's camera and AI to detect coins and banknotes, calculating their total value automatically. The app stores your scans locally on your device and syncs them to our servers for backup and cross-device access. The service integrates third-party processors, including Supabase for account authentication, Google Gemini API for coin and banknote detection, Backblaze B2 for photo backup, and RevenueCat for subscription management. AI detection may be inaccurate; do not rely on MoneyCam for final financial reconciliation, audits, or any situation where an incorrect count could cause you harm. The app is provided "as is".

Accounts

You need an account (via Google or Apple sign-in) to use MoneyCam. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. Let us know right away if you notice any unauthorized use.

User Content

You retain ownership of the photos you take with MoneyCam. You agree not to capture or store unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, and to only photograph items you have the legitimate right to photograph.

Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the service or attempt to interfere with its operation.

• Do not attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, or free tier restrictions (including through multiple accounts).
• Do not use the service for illegal purposes or to process counterfeit currency.
• Do not attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse the underlying detection models.
• You must comply with all applicable laws and the terms of our providers, including the Google Gemini API Terms.

Subscriptions & Payments

MoneyCam offers a limited free tier and paid subscription plans with higher usage limits. Details on current plans, limits, and pricing are available in the app and on the App Store or Google Play listing, and may change from time to time. Subscriptions are billed and managed through the App Store or Google Play, renew automatically unless cancelled, and unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period. We cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play — refund requests must be made to Apple or Google following their own policies.

Third-Party Services

MoneyCam relies on third parties, including Supabase for authentication, Google Gemini API for image detection, Backblaze B2 for photo storage, and RevenueCat for payments, subject to their own terms and availability. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by these providers, or by your mobile carrier or app store. By using the app, you authorize us to transmit your photos and account data to these providers solely to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

Feature Changes

We may modify, add, or remove features of the service at any time, with or without notice — for example, due to changes in the third-party providers we rely on. We will not be liable to you or any third party for such changes.

Limitation of Liability

The application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the application will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that the results or information provided by the application will always be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, or data, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the application. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or any other liability for which exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

The application is intended as a tool to assist users in identifying and counting coins and banknotes. Users remain responsible for verifying the results provided by the application before relying on them for financial, commercial, or other purposes.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings, which permanently removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of MoneyCam after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Spain.
